Life…..

So I’ve been fairly ill recently with migraines and sickness – gross! And I’ve had to change my diet to see if sugar is the cause.

Now, I’m a lover of sweet and savoury and when I get a migraine I crave chocolate and ice cream. So the doctor has now advised to cut out sugar completely. This means no fizzy diet drinks, no chocolate, no ketchup and no ice cream (or milkshakes). This will definitely be problematic for me.

However, looking on the bright side, I said I wanted loose weight so this might be a good starting point? Considering I’m pretty much only allowed to have veg, meat and occasionally fruit for the sweet tooth.

Today is my first day trying no sugar so I started my day with breakfast – two pints of water and some wheetabix with semi Skimmed milk (cannot bring myself to have skimmed!!)

Lunch was a cheese and ham rice salad with lots of veggies and I’m feeling okay so far. I do have a bit of a headache today anyways so I’m trying to keep my fluids up and flush out any withdrawal I might get. Only issue with this is that I am peeing soooo much.

Dinner will be a homeade chicken pie with veggies. Doesn’t sound so bad right?

Anyways its time to take my pup for a walk and get some fresh air. I’ll keep this updated with how it goes but if any one has any decent recipes that are sugar free, please share in the comments and any tips. Think I’m going to need all the help I can get.

Life happens

So I’ve had a very busy couple of weeks!

It started off with last weekend – Brighton pride! Had a lovely lunch at Harbys with my sister, brother in law and their friends. Its a glorious day filled with even more glorious outfits.

I didn’t stay long for this as the very next day I was driving up to near Peterborough to collect the newest addition to my family. A miniature dachshund. 😍 He’s beautiful! He’s chocolate and tan and has already found his voice. If anyone has any advice of training a 9 week old puppy it will be warmly welcomed!

This week has been a long one and extremely tiring but I’m so happy with our new family member and look forward to the day we make it through the night without barking!

The only issue with our new puppy is that the cat isn’t best pleased with him so again any advice is welcomed.

Anyways this next week, now that I have Lincoln, I’m focusing on myself and being more proactive and bettering myself. This is starting with actually making my lunch for work tomorrow – a salad, sounds boring but it’s one of my salads so should be a good one.

Anyways Sundays are for a day of reflection and relaxation as well as getting ready for the week. I’m planning on a lazy one with cuddles on the sofa. What’s your Sunday routine?
